Research consulting

I am available to consult or collaborate on all stages of research projects, including planning and preparing your study, analyzing data, and interpreting results. I have consulted with community organizations, fellow professionals, and many undergraduate and graduate students on theses/dissertations. In addition to my experience as a clinical researcher (resulting in over 40 peer-reviewed publications), I have received specialized training in survey development, mixed-methods research, and community-based participatory research. I am proficient in the use of programs such as SPSS, Dedoose, Qualtrics, and CloudResearch, among others. Please reach out using my email below to see how I can facilitate your project.

Speaking & training

As an educator, clinician, and researcher dedicated to improving mental health care, I appreciate the opportunity to merge these three worlds through speaking engagements and professional trainings. I typically focus on adolescent and young adult mental health, psychotic-like experiences, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, and/or stigma. I present the most up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge and include rich (but de-identified) examples and experiences from my own clinical practice to add context and depth to the discussion. I have presented to local, state, national, and international organizations and led trainings for groups from a few graduate students to a few hundred clinicians. Recordings and slide decks of some of my previous work are linked below, and please see "About" page for an updated list of past trainings & speaking engagements. Please reach out using my email below to start discussing how I can be of service.

Therapy & assessment

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of New York specializing in working with adolescents and young adults. I have extensive experience working with young people who are struggling with developmental transitions, social skills/issues, bullying, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, and unusual or psychotic-like experiences across the lifespan (e.g., hearing voices or seeing things others don’t, feeling suspicious, etc.). In particular, I have specialized and advanced training in treatments such as CBT for Psychosis and assessments such as the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 (SCID-5) and Structured Interview for Psychosis-Risk Syndromes (SIPS). I can provide individual and family therapy, as well as diagnostic assessments. Currently, my clinical work takes place at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and I offer virtual sessions. Please contact me using my email below to ask about my clinical practice and any available openings or referrals.

Clinical supervision & consultation

I provide clinical supervision to students specializing in serious mental illness, particularly schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, psychosis-risk states (also known as clinical high-risk for psychosis), and psychotic-like experiences (PLEs). While schizophrenia-spectrum disorders affect about 1-3% of the population, psychosis-risk states and PLEs are more common and can coincide with many mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma -- or even during periods of heightened stress. As such, a careful and sensitive assessment process is essential to best understand what someone is experiencing. I am available to consult with mental health providers on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals across the psychosis spectrum. I can also recommend a treatment plan and/or direct you to appropriate local services and providers. Please reach out through my email below if I can be of service.
