INSPYR Lab presents at EPA 2026

Three INSPYR Lab students (Emily, Maddie, Joe) presented at the Eastern Psychological Association's annual convention in Boston, MA. Each student presented their own poster on psychotic-like experiences. The team did a great job presenting their work, answering questions, and connecting with others in the field!

State of Mental Health in Lower Connecticut with Greenwich United Way

In September 2025, Dr. DeLuca joined a panel of mental health experts to discuss the state of mental health in CT. He shared clinical research on youth mental health best practices and stigma reduction, as well as preliminary results from the Greenwich United Way Needs Assessment.

Screen time & study time: Navigating devices in education

For Fairfield's January 2025 Campus Connect event, Dr. DeLuca participated in a panel discussion on the role of cell phones in schools alongside Michael Testani, the Superintendent of Fairfield Public Schools, and Dr. Joshua Elliott, Associate Dean of the Fairfield University School of Education and Human Development.

In November 2024, we won the Connecticut Psychological Association Annual Convention Outstanding Poster Presentation Award! Fantastic work, Clare, Sara, and Braden!

How cell phone use affects student learning

In June 2024, Dr. DeLuca was interviewed for an article in CT Insider about cell phone use in the classroom. The Westport Public School system is considering implementing a cell phone ban during school hours, and Dr. DeLuca discussed the research on how cell phone use affects youth development and learning.
